WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A four-year-old girl is recovering from a gunshot wound, after falling victim to a drive by shooting.
The shooting happened Thursday morning just after 11 a.m. off of Windsor Avenue in West Palm Beach.
Police say the gunmen targeted two men who were walking past a neighborhood park. Those targeted by the men fled from the scene.
Police say the gunmen continued to shoot, firing three rounds into a nearby home. Inside the home was Johnnie Walker, his wife and two granddaughters.
Walker's 4-year old granddaughter Krystal Black was hit by a bullet. The bullet went through her jaw and out her mouth.
Krystal had to undergo emergency surgery and family members say she should recover.
Police are still searching for the suspects. They say at least two men were involved. Police say the suspects were in a gray, Chevrolet. It may be a newer version Impala, with wire spoke rims.
