UPDATE: - The Cuban government will turn over members of the Hakken family -- including Josh Hakken and his wife, Sharyn, who allegedly snatched their two boys from their grandmother's home in Florida -- the government said Tuesday in a statement.-- CNN
(CNN) -- A man on a boat at a Havana marina told CNN he is Josh Hakken, the U.S. man accused of kidnapping his sons and sailing them to Cuba.
He declined to answer questions, and Cuban security asked a CNN reporter to leave.
The man, who fit Hakken's description, was with a woman who fits the description of his wife, both aboard a blue sailboat named "Salty."
The CNN reporter also saw one child on the boat. Hakken, a Louisiana man who lost custody of his two young sons, is accused of abducting them, together with his wife, according to a Florida sheriff's department.
Before the report from CNN the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office had received information that the Hakken family had arrived on the communist island.
It has been six days since the Hakken family was last seen leaving a dock at John's Pass Marina. Witnesses say they saw both Joshua and Sharon Hakken loading boxes of supplies on that 25-foot sailboat boat before boarding and heading out to the Gulf of Mexico.
Cole, 4, and his brother Chase, 2, were allegedly abducted by their father Wednesday, April 3 from their maternal grandmother's house. Authorities say the Hakkens boarded the boat just hours after the kidnapping, giving them about a 16-hour jump on authorities, according to Detective Larry McKinnon with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The boat they were last seen in is a 1972 Morgan with an outboard motor with the word "Salty" written on the side with two paw prints on it. The sailboat has a blue hull and a white mainsail. Authorities say Joshua Hakken purchased the boat just weeks before the alleged kidnapping.
As of Monday, there were active Amber Alerts in both Florida and Alabama.
