WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. A crowd of fans welcomed 'The Voice' contestant Cassadee Pope home Thursday morning.
The former South Floridian met friends and fans at the WILD 95.5 studios.
Pope's lifelong friends from Palm Beach County were happy to get in a quick 'hello' while the superstar was filming her hometown visit for 'The Voice.'
"It's awesome to be back home, I'm loving it already, all my friends are here," said Pope.
Surrounded by NBC cameras, and with her fans waving from outside the radio studio, Pope spoke about her new-found fame.
"I'm having the time of my life, I was a little worried that it would be really competitive and people were going to treat it too much like a competition but it's actually more like a family," she said.
Pope is one of four contestants left on 'The Voice.' The singer was in a band before taking a break to try out for the show. Her biggest piece of advice for girls trying make it in the business: Never give up.
"I could have given up so many times, when the band wasn't doing well or when I went solo and no one cared and none of the labels wanted to sign me but I didn't and now I'm here," said Pope.
