WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - New phone? Don't forget your WPTV app

If there's one person who really took the launch of the iPhone 4S seriously, it was officer Louis Simoes.

Simoes was hired specifically to keep his eye on the parking lot of the AT&T store on Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach. He spent nearly 12 hours making sure everything went smoothly.

"I'm just a law abiding citizen," said Simoes.

On Friday, the parking lot outside the store was filled with anxious customers ready for Apples' newest gadget.

"We are getting them for our kids," said one customer.

More workers were behind the counters to handle the crowds for what's being called AT&T's most successful launch to date.

The sleek iPhone 4S boasts voice activation and a better camera.

"It's also much faster at processing," said one customer.
