BOCA RATON, FL--A South Florida neighborhood is finally sleeping peacefully after police arrested A 16 year old who is accused of firing an AK-47 on a Boca Raton street.
Police say they received a call of shots fired Monday just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Lancaster Street and Nottingham Road.
Neighbors say it was frightening to think someone was driving around and shooting a gun.
"Scary, it's scary," one said.
Another said, "It really scared her sisters."
Responding officers found several shell casings and learned a teen driving a black pickup truck was seen in the area.
Detectives say information led them to a home on Manchester Street.
A S.W.A.T team armed with a search warrant entered the home and arrested Steven Feldman.
Police say they recovered an AK-47, a bayonet, and two rifle magazines. They charged Feldman with discharging a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and altering or removing a firearm serial number.
Karen Seel, Feldman’s mother, was also arrested. Police charged her with accessory after the fact and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
