SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, FL-- The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is concerned about the recent misuse of a green laser near Palm Beach International Airport.

The sheriff's office says someone has been pointing a laser beam into the cockpits of landing aircraft at PBIA.

Using a laser improperly can lead to a felony charge.

There were approximately 20 laser lighting incidents that occurred during the last year, including one arrest in August 2008, according to the sheriff's office.

If you know of anyone misusing a laser, you're asked to report it immediately to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the nearest law enforcement agency or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
