STUART, FL -- Construction to repair Bathtub Beach in Stuart is scheduled to begin this week, according to our news partners at Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers.
They report that workers will dump several thousand yards of sand dredged from the St. Lucie Inlet along Bathtub Beach's shoreline.
The dune restoration project is reportedly scheduled to be complete by May 1st in order to avoid interference with sea turtle nesting season.
