POMPANO BEACH, FL-- Deputies in Broward County are looking for a man whom they say iS pretending to be one of them.

Investigators have released a sketch of the suspect.

They say he identified himself as an undercover deputy after knocking on the door of a Pompano Beach apartment Tuesday night.
 
When the resident handed over his driver's license, the fake deputy handcuffed his victim and demanded to know where he kept his money.

Deputies say he then searched the victim's wallet and drawers and stole $400 and a debit card. He then uncuffed his victim and left.

The suspect is about 6-feet-tall with close-cropped hair and two gold front teeth. He carried a black handgun with wood grips.
