BOCA RATON, FL-–A woman missing since October 30th as turned up dead in Boca Raton.
Police say the victim, Pamela Powers, was first reported missing on November 16th.
Her roommate said he hadn't seen or heard from her since the day before Halloween. He said she told him she was going to a Halloween party.
Investigators eventually went to the home of her former boyfriend who lives at 4725 NE 5th Avenue.
Detectives knocked but no one answered. Police say they asked for and received a search warrant and a SWAT team went inside Tuesday, just before midnight.
Once inside, police say the found Pamela's bady decomposed body and discovered she had been dead for a while. They say there were obvious signs of trauma, but did not elaborate.
They say her ex-boyfriend Christopher Sharpe was in the apartment and taken into custody.
They have charged him with first degree murder. Police did not say if he confessed. He was arrested without incident.
Investigators also say Sharpe had been arrested in July for domestic battery against Powers.
