RIVIERA BEACH, FL -- "God gave me the vision to work with the youth because of the crime rate in the city of West Palm and Riviera Beach." More than 80 children belong to Eddie Green's "4 Ever Praise Dance Company" which meets in Pleasant City. His older brother started the dance company in 1996. Green, a Singer Island lifeguard, now spends his time after work working with the kids. "It helps the kids because the dancing is what gets the kids in there and it's not only dance, we have Bible study, we do a lot of things with them to try and prevent And it brings kids from different neighborhoods and when it brings the kids from different neighborhoods it shows the kids that you can love each other no matter what neighborhood you stay in, no matter what race you are, you can love each other."

Many of the kids are not able to afford dance lessons, but Green says he can offer them dance lessons due to financial donations from the public. The children get to perform what they have learned. "December 12th we have our annual dance showcase at Palm Beach Lakes High School December 12th all proceeds are going to 4 Ever Praise, the fundraiser that we do to raise money for our group."

Green has the support of local leaders. Riviera Beach Mayor Thomas Masters said, "Any thing and any time we can engage in our young people in any thing positive is definitely going to make a difference and will continue to make a difference, that's why as the Mayor of the city I am going to do all that I can to support Eddie with the young people."
