PORT ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA -- Police say a woman’s husband followed a taxi in which she was riding Friday and rammed it in a southbound lane of Airoso Boulevard.
Yancey Sanchez, 33, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery after police say he deliberately rammed a white Ford SUV into a Ford Escort of AAA Taxi in the 2000 block of Airoso Boulevard.
It was unclear from Sanchez’s arrest report if the cab driver or woman were injured. The report described Sanchez as the woman’s husband, but they have different last names.
Sanchez, of the 1900 block of Southwest Sylvester Lane, also was charged with criminal mischief for damage to the cab; reckless driving; and not having a valid driver’s license.
He was in the St. Lucie County Jail Saturday in lieu of $101,000 bond.
