WEST PALM BEACH, FL-- A Miami man will spend life in prison in connection with a deadly robbery at a Boynton Beach grocery store.
Luis Alfonso Reyes Castillo was convicted of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, and several other charges for his role in the murder of Samuel Salomon, an innocent bystander, in a 2007 robbery.
Castillo and 4 others were caught on surveillance video robbing the Three Amigos Grocery Store.
Prosecutors say they drove to Palm Beach County from Miami and robbed the store at gunpoint. Customers were tied up and robbed as well.
Once the group fled they fired at the store's owner who was following them.
Salomon was in another vehicle and was shot and killed.
A judge sentenced Castillo Tuesday to life in prison.
