Toyota recalls 1.5 million cars for brake fluid and fuel pump problems

TOKYO, Japan - Toyota has announced a new recall.

The automaker is issuing a voluntary safety recall of 1.5 million vehicles worldwide, 740,000 of which were sold in the U.S.

Toyota says, it's possible brake fluid could leak from the master brake cylinder, and drivers would start noticing a soft brake pedal feeling.
The recall affects certain Avalon, Higlander and Lexus models.

Toyota will begin notifying drivers by mail next month.
