WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Ten month old John is making a bold fashion statement by wearing the latest style in cloth diapers.
"We love it. I think John loves it," said John's mother Rachael Stephens.
The trendy look is courtesy of Doopsy Diapers.
Ioana Weber and her husband Adrian Oprita created the Doopsy Diaper line as a way to help families with babies save money and help the environment.
Adrian specializes in marketing and web design and Ioana is an engineer. Last year they decided to start an e-commerce business and out of that came the diaper design.
"People are still learning about the product. There's many aspects that at the beginning are hard to understand just because it is so different from everything that's out there on the market," said Weber. "People are very interested in our product because it's so unique."
Doopsies are adjustable, one-size cloth diapers. They have a trimmer look and feel and can fit babies from ten to thirty-five pounds.
Rachael Stephens says she likes the convenience of washing and reusing the diapers for her 10 month-old son. Stephens also says she is impressed with the quality of the diaper.
"We haven't had any leaks so that's always good," said Stephens.
The diapers come in five different colors and start at $15.95 each and come in five different colors.
With 1,000 Facebook fans and counting, the couple hopes the concept and company slogan, 'let doopsy take care of the poopsy,' sticks.
