WASHINGTON, DC - Innovage LLC is recalling 1.4 million FIXIT One Million Candlepower Rechargeable Spotlights because the charging adapter can overcharge the batter forcing it to rupture and leak battery acid. This poses a chemical burn hazard to consumers.

The company has received 13 reports of incidents involving skin chemical burns and battery acid burns to clothing, upholstery and carpeting.

This recall involves the One Million Candlepower Spotlight, a rechargeable halogen light. The spotlight is sold with an AC power charger and a 12 volt car utility adapter.

The spotlights were sold nationwide from October 2003 through October 2009 for about $10.
