FedEx giving away $1 million in gift cards to support 'Small Business Saturday'

UPDATE: According to the American Express Facebook page, you can get a one-time $25 statement credit when you register an eligible American Express Card and use that card for a purchase of $25 or more at a small business on November 26th.

(WXYZ) - FedEx is giving away $1 million in gift cards Tuesday. It's part of an effort to support 'Small Business Saturday,' a day dedicated to driving shoppers to local, independently-owned merchants. 'Small Business Saturday' is November 26, the day after 'Black Friday'.

The free American Express gift cards – each worth $25 – will be distributed through www.facebook.com/FedEx on the page's wall starting at 1 p.m. on first come, first serve basis.

In addition to the gift card giveaway, FedEx is also offering small businesses a discount on online print orders and free online tools to promote their companies.
