It might get harder to pig out next year.
That's because of a pork and bacon shortage that's expected around the world.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the European Union's pig herd is declining at an alarming rate.
According to weather.com the National Pig Association says the shortage is unavoidable and will likely be felt first in Europe.
It's all tied to drought conditions in the U.S. that destroyed corn and soybean crops.
It became too expensive to feed the animals, so many farmers reduced their herds.
That might translate into fewer pork products in the store and less pork on your plate.
