(WXYZ) - Ford is freshening up its Flex family vehicle. The company is unveiling the new look at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week.

The redesigned Flex has a sleeker front end. Ford has also removed the classic blue oval from the front grill.

One of out every five Flex vehicles is sold in the California market. Buyers there seem to like its unconventional style.

The Flex is designed for people who like the functionality of an Explorer but don't need off-road capability.

The new 2013 Flex gets the upgraded MyFord Touch connectivity, as well as the inflatable rear seat belts. It already features a refrigerator in the second row. The Flex seats seven passengers.
