DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - At noon, firefighters were responding to a warehouse fire that is sending massive plumes of black smoke into the air from 800 N.E. 41st Street. The smoke can be seen from area highways and is affecting southbound traffic on North Dixie Highway and the area near Sample Road.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, its Fire Rescue units are at the scene. Adjacent warehouses are being evacuated, Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue Spokesman Mike Jachles said. There is heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof, which may be partially collapsed, Jachles said.
No injuries have been reported.
