Dr. Soria is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic/Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Upon completion of his formal training, Dr. Soria was recruited as an Associate Regional Medical Director for EmCare, Inc. in which he specialized in new contract startups, with his first ED Directorship 4 months out of training. He was then promoted to Regional Medical Director for the Southeast US overseeing medical affairs for EmCare contracts as well as serving as Medical Director for their two key contracts, Good Samaritan Medical Center and Saint Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida.
In 2003, Dr. Soria was recruited to Team Health as Regional Medical Officer where he oversaw all operational aspects of 16 emergency departments including budgets and financial management of $14 million in annual revenues and human resource management of 40 physician FTEs and 10 midlevel provider FTEs. In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Soria served as Medical Director of Wellington Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Soria continues to serve as an actively practicing Emergency physician and Medical Director of Emergency Specialists of Wellington, the ED group for Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida..
He is also currently very active with the NBA as the Assistant Director of Medical Affairs. This role consists of providing concierge medical care for NBA players and staff at NBA events at national and international venues, including NBA Asia and Europe.
Dr. Soria is the health expert for WPTV Newschannel 5 for all of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast, reaching over 1 million viewers. He airs every Tuesday on the 5:30pm news, as well as the Q & A with Dr. Soria segment every Wednesday at noon.
