Get creative this Thanksgiving by adding a non-traditional dish to your spread. Whether you have a guest that's a vegetarian, vegan or prefers something a little more interesting than the norm, here are five Thanksgiving dishes that will throw a little curveball into the menu.

Turducken – It's a turkey; no, it's a chicken; nope, it's a duck. Actually, it's all three birds, and this impressive dish is called a turducken. A chicken placed inside a duck, then placed inside a turkey and roasted. If you want to stray away from a traditional turkey for your Thanksgiving meal, serving this turducken recipe from Paula Deen will give you the option of having more than one kind of meat.

Vegetable Pot Pies with Sweet Potato Biscuits – Serve this to your vegetarian guests and please the palate of non-veggie lovers too. A savory combination of parsnips, cauliflower, brussels sprouts and pearl onions all combined in individual serving dishes and topped with a sweet potato infused biscuit. The full recipe is provided by The Huffington Post .

Cherry-Pecan Cornbread Dressing – Even if you don't have a turkey to stuff for your non-traditional Thanksgiving, you can still have stuffing or dressing. Martha Stewart offers a twist on a dressing recipe by baking them in muffin tins. Perfect serving sizes for everyone, with a sweeter taste than the savory stuffing normally served.

New Green Bean Casserole – Forget what you remember about the green bean casserole you grew up with. Good Housekeeping changes up the recipe – no soup can included – by adding parmesan cheese and shallots.

Pumpkin Tiramisu – Everyone will be able to partake in this twist on a pumpkin dessert. Shy away from serving the traditional pumpkin pie and make these single serving pumpkin tiramisu desserts that can be enjoyed by all – they are vegan and gluten free. The New York Times features the recipe here.
