PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A man wearing cowboy boots but no pants was arrested after a witness said he was fiddling with the door of a Southwest Bayshore Boulevard business, according to recently released records.
Port St. Lucie police encountered Sean Anwar Bacchus around 3:20 a.m. Feb. 26 after being dispatched to a report of a man with his pants around his ankles trying to enter a closed business.
An officer spotted Bacchus, 43, sporting cowboy boots but no pants when the officer arrived at the address in the 900 block of Southwest Bayshore Boulevard. Bacchus had a bruise on his head, but when queried about it said he didn't know what happened.
Often worn by cowboys, cowboy boots are not to be confused with the Cowboy Junkies, a folk/pop band that formed in Toronto in 1985 and is known for a cover of The Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane," or the Naked Cowboy, a popular figure in Times Square known for wearing cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and undies.
Meanwhile, the officer asked Bacchus to put on his pants.
"As he did I saw he had urinated himself," a report states.
Bacchus said he'd consumed alcohol earlier and had been at Mumbles bar.
The witness told police he saw a man with his pants around his ankles. The man was tampering with a business' front door. He walked to the back and returned to mess with the front door.
Police found no signs of damage.
Bacchus, of the 300 block of Southwest Carter Avenue in Port St. Lucie, was arrested on a disturbing the peace charge.
