Taylor Swift, Harry Styles break up: One Direction singer and pop's sweetheart split in Virgin Isles

Although it seems like we were just talking about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles as they toured northern England for Swift's 23rd birthday, it appears their (puppy) love-fest has ended.

Taylor Swift has added another notch to her belt.

The pop sensation has ended her relationship with One Direction singer Harry Styles, according to the Daily Mail .

Just one week ago the happy couple was spotted sharing a midnight kiss in Times Square as they rang in 2013.

An unnamed source tells MailOnline, "Yes I can confirm they have split up."

The source states they had a big fight during their New Year's vacation in the British Virgin Islands.

Swift flew back to the U.S. without Styles on January 4, after just three days on vacation.

Meanwhile Styles stayed behind and partied with fellow guests and Richard Branson, who owns a neighboring private island.

Swift, who loves Twitter and posts regularly, had recently remained quiet on her account until she posted one cryptic post the day after the breakup, some speculate was aimed at Styles reading, "...'til you put me down."

Taylor Swift has been linked with Conor Kennedy, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Taylor Lautner in the past.
