'Good Morning America' co-host Robin Roberts has been hospitalized for her bone marrow transplant procedure, according to the Huffington Post.
On Twitter Monday morning, Roberts said, "My last tweet for awhile. Heading to hospital...time to focus on healing. I take each & every one of you w/me in my heart. Light and love."
According to the Huffington Post report , Roberts posted a picture of herself with a shaved head and a photo of her parents on Facebook.
Roberts was diagnosed with a rare bone-marrow and blood disorder known as MDS in June. She is receiving the bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally.
Roberts's mother Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts died at the end of August in Mississippi.
Lucimarian was the first African American to head Mississippi’s Board of Education. She also loved music and writing, authoring a book “My Story, My Song,” which Robin collaborated on.
