Singer Rick Springfield was arrested at his Los Angeles-area home on Friday on a bench warrant issued Wednesday after he didn't show up for a court date pertaining to a past DUI arrest, according to E! News .
The L.A. County Sheriff's Department confirmed to E! News that Springfield's wife brought the requisite paperwork to the station to clear up the issue and he was ultimately not booked on any charge.
Springfield left the following status update on his official Facebook page regarding the incident:
"My home away from home. Lost hills sheriff station. Arrested this am on a bench warrant. I didn't know that I was supposed appear in court a few weeks ago. It was to do with the old DUI charge and it's been cleared up and i am free to go. Thought I might miss the gig tonite but I will be there and we will celebrate together.
Life is not boring.
XOXO"
The "Jessie's Girl" singer pleaded no contest to reckless driving with "driving under the influence conditions" in August and was sentenced to probation and an alcohol-education program.
