HOLLYWOOD, California - How many star-studded executives can you fit into one office?
We will soon find out.
TV Line is reporting that Ray Romano, James Spader and British funny lady Catherine Tate are on top of the short list to replace outgoing boss Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell).
Scott officially exits the series on April 28.
Romano, Spader and Tate will all appear on the hour-long season finale on May 19 as candidates to become the big boss at Dunder Mifflin.
It has already been announced that Will Arnett and Ricky Gervais will appear on the finale.
Romano can currently be seen on Men of a Certain Age. Arnett has just booked a pilot for NBC to be produced by Lorne Michaels. And Gervais created the British version of the series, so he doesn't really need (or want) the job.
Funny man Will Ferrell will play D'Angelo Vickers on a four-story arc that wraps when the season closes. He is not expected to return next season.
