HOLLYWOOD, California - Audiences can't get enough of Betty White. Television can't either.
NBC has teamed up with White to give the Hollywood legend her own hidden-camera prank show.
The catch? The pranksters will be senior citizens, and young people will be the targets.
The 89-year old actress will host and executive produce the 12-episode series.
The only dicey thing about the announcement is the show's name; "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (working title).
CNN's " Marquee Blog " tells us that the show is based on an award-winning European program called “Benidorm Bastards" that was originally produced in Belgium.
“Betty White's Off Their Rockers” will follow “a band of seven senior citizens who make it their mission to play pranks on unsuspecting younger people."
Said White, "People have been telling me that I’m ‘Off My Rocker’ for years - now I can prove it.”
White, who starred on NBC's "Golden Girls" for seven seasons, is currently attached to a number of projects.
She currently stars on TV Land's "Hot In Cleveland," and her book on everything from celebrity to sex, "If You Ask Me (And Of Course You Won’t)," arrives in May.
