Whitney Houston was laid to rest Sunday in New Jersey, but a chilling photo claiming to show the singer dead in her casket is sparking anger this week.

The National Enquirer published the image on the cover of this week’s issue.

The photo claims to show the singer in an open casket wearing a purple dress, earrings and a broach.

The photo was reportedly taken at the private viewing, but it is unclear who took the pictures.

Houston died the night before the Grammy Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was 48.
