Mayim Bialik, The Big Bang Theory actress, in good spirits after car accident

(CNN) -- Actress Mayim Bialik seems to be in good spirits after being involved in a car accident on Wednesday.

"In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna See pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol," she tweeted, noting that her husband had to the type the message for her.

Bialik, who currently appears on "The Big Bang Theory" as Amy Farrah Fowler, was rushed to the hospital after the white Volvo she was driving collided with another vehicle on Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, according to a statement Los Angeles Police Lt. Andrew Neiman gave the Los Angeles Times.

The former "Blossom" star suffered "severe lacerations to her left hand and thumb," Neiman added.

Reps for the actress told CNN, "[S]he is doing fine and will be returning to work tomorrow. She thanks everyone for their concern."

TMZ was the first to report the news on Wednesday.
