LOS ANGELES - Actress Kirstie Alley is admitting to some shocking secrets in her new tell-all book, including a secret romance with Patrick Swayze.
According to her new memoir, "The Art of Men," Alley and Swayze fell in love while working together on the set of the television miniseries, "North and South." They were both married to others at the time, and the book states that Swayze asked her to get divorced so they can get married.
"I probably was more willing to break up my marriage, and I wasn't willing to break up his marriage," Alley told ABC News' Barbara Walters, in an interview about the book.
The 61-year-old said that sparks flew immediately on the set of the 1985 movie, and they both tried to keep from falling in love, but it didn't work.
Alley told Walters that she is still friends with Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi, but is not sure if she knew of their relationship until now.
