NEW YORK -- Playing a woman with an abusive boyfriend in "Safe Haven" dredged up memories of the abuse Julianne Hough suffered as a child.
Hough tells Cosmo she was "abused, mentally, physically, everything."
The former Dancing With the Stars participant says it started when she was ten, studying dance in London far from her parents. Even though she was young, she looked like she was 28 and "a very sensual dancer." She says things got worse when she hit puberty.
Hough describes herself as "a tormented little kid who had to put on this sexy facade" while she was still "this innocent little girl" inside.
She won't reveal who abused her saying she's a "very forgiving person" and doesn't want to "hurt anybody."
