Pop idol Demi Lovato has inked a deal to join Simon Cowell on the judging panel of The X Factor.
The Disney star officially signed a contract for the upcoming second season of the U.S. TV talent show, according to TMZ.com.
Lovato joins fellow newcomer Britney Spears as they replace ousted judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
An official announcement is due to take place in New York City this week.
