Rockers SMASHING PUMPKINS have postponed their show in Manila, Philippines on Tuesday night (07Aug12) due to heavy rainfall and floods.
The capital city has been struck by torrential downpour so the band and its management decided to call off a planned gig at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for health and safety reasons.
The show will now take place on Wednesday (08Aug12).
Frontman Billy Corgan kept fans up to date on Twitter.com, writing, "I'm happy to report thanks to our great crew and with the helpful assistance of Manila promoter we have rescheduled our show for tomorrow.
"The safety of our fans is always a huge priority. With 24 long hours delay our 1st Manila show will be at same arena, same time tomorrow!!
"SP (Smashing Pumpkins) has the best fans in the world and we didn't want anyone taking any chances. Manila you are worth the wait... Lots of love/be safe."
