Port to judge European model show

Reality TV star WHITNEY PORT has signed on to judge wannabe catwalk stars on the new season of Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model.

The City star announced the news on her blog on Tuesday (07Feb12), revealing she can't wait to get started.

She wrote, "I'm thrilled about this new opportunity in my career and I am honored to have been asked to work alongside industry icons who I truly respect and admire."

She'll join model-turned-actor Tyson Beckford, Elle Macpherson and British fashion photographer Julien MacDonald for the eighth season of the hit show, which will air in the U.K. this summer (12).
