Nicki Minaj misses album party over boyfriend snub

Hip-hop star NICKI MINAJ missed her own album launch party on Tuesday (20Nov12) after her boyfriend's pals were locked out of the bash.

Minaj was due to appear at a New York nightclub to celebrate the release of new box set Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The ReUp but her plans went awry after Safaree Samuels arrived at the venue with 30 friends.

Security staff at Greenhouse in Manhattan blocked most of his entourage from entering the venue, and when Minaj heard about the snub, she refused to attend the party, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

A representative for the venue tells the publication, "Nicki was in a car outside, and didn't come in because only a portion of her boyfriend's group of 30 was allowed entry. He was trying to bring in too large a party, and therefore Nicki chose not to come in."
