THE SIMPSONS creator MATT GROENING has pulled the plug on his syndicated cartoon strip Life in Hell after 32 years.
The cartoonist's regular spot helped him secure a TV slot for The Simpsons, but he insists he doesn't have time to create the weekly strip.
He says, "Thirty two years is a long time to do it. I love the characters, I love doing it, but it was just time."
At the height of its popularity, Life in Hell was distributed to 379 newspapers. The final strip ran on 15 June (12).
