Singer Beyonce had the honor of performing the national anthem at the closing of President Obama's second inauguration on Monday, January 20, 2013 in Washington, DC.
She was accompanied by the U.S. Marine band.

President Barack Obama took his ceremonial oath of office on Monday at the U.S. Capitol before an enormous crowd on the National Mall.
He was officially sworn in on Sunday in a private ceremony, marking the start of his second term.
Vice President Joe Biden also took his ceremonial oath on Monday.
President Barack Obama said Monday in his inaugural speech that the nation must come together to meet the challenges of the day, saying: "We are made for this moment, and we will seize it -- so long as we seize it together."
He said that Americans understand that "our country cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it."
