Art After Dark is one of the Norton Art Museum's most popular programs. Art tours, conversations with curators, art projects and wine tastings are available every Thursday from 5-9 p.m.
Through August, Thursdays are FREE to Florida residents at the Norton all day, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., which includes Art After Dark.
Thursday, July 25, the Art After Dark event will feature live music, a documentary film and a tour of the exhibition called "Architecture in Detail."
The "Architecture in Detail" show is available to view until October 20, 2013, but Art After Dark offers detailed insight. In a tour sponsored by www.pbpulse.com , guests will learn about photographers, painters and printmakers from the 20th century. Artists Stuart Davis, Andreas Feininger, John Marin, Addison Mizner, and Vic Muniz are featured in the exhibit.
A performance by pop-rock acoustic artist Shauna Sweeney will be held in the atrium, as David Shelley and Bluestone debuts songs from their new album in the theater. There is also an opportunity to participate in creating a foam skyline with your own hands, and view the documentary film "Building Big Skyscrapers" as you work.
