The cast for "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel is swinging into clear view.

Marvel's confirmed that actor Dane DeHaan, whom you may have seen on "In Treatment" as Jesse D'Amato or in this year's "Lawless" alongside Shia LaBeouf, has signed on to portray Harry Osborn.

Last month, THR reported that Sam Claflin, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth and Boyd Holbrook were among the actors testing to play the part of Peter Parker's friend and eventual enemy.

DeHaan was also one of the names floating about initially, and it seems he's won over director Marc Webb, as the helmer called DeHaan an "exciting and extraordinary young actor and he is a fantastic addition to our cast."

Joining DeHaan are Shailene Woodley, the "Secret Life of the American Teenager" actress who was in talks to play Mary Jane, and Jamie Foxx, who was circling the role of Electro. Emma Stone will also be back, as will Andrew Garfield, who donned the Spidey suit for this year's first installment.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is slated to open May 2, 2014, with production scheduled to begin early next year.
