(CNN) -- Dough it up big time! November 12 is National Pizza with Everything Day!

What better way to start a week than by thinking about pizza? And today isn't just any ordinary pizza day -- it's pizza with EVERYTHING day.

Although pizza is a European invention, no country has celebrated added toppings to it quite like America. Whether you're a meat lovers person or a veggie extreme connoisseur, it seems the more toppings, the better.

Instead of ordering in tonight, if you have the time, make your own. Pizza dough is really easy to make at home and is simply flour, water, salt and yeast. It takes about five minutes to come together and can sit in the fridge while during the day, ready for your return. Making pizzas at home is also a great way to get kids into the kitchen. They can roll out their own dough into mini pizzas and add their own toppings.

And if you're keeping an eye on your health, you can always use or make whole wheat pizza dough, load the whole thing up with vegetables and substitute low fat goat or feta cheese as a topping.
