Jeff Skrzypek joined WPTV News Channel 5 in November of 2011.  Before making the journey to beaches of sunny South Florida, Jeff spent more than two years baring the relentless rains of the Pacific Northwest. Jeff was a lead reporter at KEZI-TV in Eugene, Oregon covering high-profile court cases, the foiled terrorist bombing attempt, the 2011 tsunami evacuation of the Pacific Coast and severe weather events such as a tornado that ripped through a town.

Prior to Jeff's time in Oregon, he attended Arizona State University where he got hooked on T.V. news during internships in Phoenix at KNXV and KPNX as well as KGUN in Tucson.

When Jeff is not covering the stories out in the community, you can find him out exploring everything the area has to offer.  Jeff likes to run, discover new foods and you might find him sifting through a pile of records as he's a huge music collector and musician himself.
