WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Jo Englesson says her life changed four years ago while traveling.

"I was in an airport..., and I literally was not paying attention and I bumped into this older gentleman and I thought he was going to get mad and instead he just turned around and he was just light and he just had me moved by the way he was reacting," she said.

Jo thought about how she could thank the 80 year old man for his kindness. On her flight she thought about designing a token to give to people who did acts of kindness; a token of appreciation.

The idea of tracking gratitude followed, along with the creation of a website: TOFA, "Tokens of Appreciation."

"I figured if you want to make a difference in the world I better start in my backyard. And so I live in Lake Worth and I really started a movement there of gratitude and then with TOFA it's going all over the world."

The tokens, which cost five dollars each, have a tracking number. You can register them on Jo's web site and tell your story. Jo says there are 7,000 tokens in circulation around the world.

"There is a woman that her son died from a DUI and I gave her a token in Las Vegas, I ran into her and she literally was to her knees and really needed it at the moment," Jo remembered.

Jo also hosts seminars for companies and participates in youth programs to spread the attitude of gratitude. But she has not forgotten about the man who inspired her. Jo found out the 80 year old man she met at the airport lives in Port Saint Lucie. She gave Don Warms the first token of appreciation.

Jo later received a phone call from his daughter. "His wife of 50 years of marriage had just died a year prior and he had not left the house since and after the token he got up every day got showered and put a suit on and went down to the club house shared it with all of his friends and that's what it is about."
