Loxahatchee - Fourteen year old Courtney Wolfe has a wish. She wants an outpatient pediatric center for children who are undergoing cancer treatments. A year ago, Courtney was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. Courtney says during her times in the hospital, she felt it was not the best place for young patients to undergo cancer treatments, due to a compromised immune system. "Just being in the hospital you can get an infection and a cold and like you can get really, really sick and it's not good when our immune systems are so low."
She is now in remission and wants to help kids diagnosed with cancer. "We've been doing fundraisers, and we've been just trying to raise as much money as we can."

Courtney says six million dollars are needed to build the pediatric outpatient center. Her mother, Bernadette Wolfe, hopes Courtney's wish will come true. On Sunday, there will be a cut-a-thon in Wellington and a fashion show to raise funds for the center. Her mother says, "The hospital is great, Palms West Hospital is great for your child to be here but for kids to come in with a low immune system it's not a good setting as far as the germs they can catch."
The Kids Cancer Foundation is helping Courtney's wish become a reality.
