PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - If you're looking for executive chef Zach Bell, you can find him in the kitchen at Cafe Boulud at the Brazilian Court Hotel on Palm Beach.
Zach also gives back to the community.
He and other chefs cook meals for families staying at the Quantum House, a place where out of town guests can stay when their child is undergoing treatment for a serious illness at the hospital.
Zach said, "I've been involved in several charities in the local area and then nationally, the March of Dimes, then I thought it would be a good idea for some of my young cooks, they get caught up in just working and working, and I think it's going to be beneficial for them if they learn about giving back. We cook home style, we will do roast chicken like home style; we did a spaghetti dinner one day. We don't get too crazy, we want to make sure, there are 20 people there so we have to make everybody happy."
Zach says the families seem to enjoy the meals whipped up by the chefs. "They love it, the comfort food sort of angle; it really makes them happy and relaxed. They know when they come in they are going to sit down and not have to cook and just relax."
Zach Bell...making a difference for parents caring for sick children.
