Daniel De La Rosa has been training Hero, a 4-year-old greyhound, how to help someone with physical disabilities.

Hero retired from a career in racing, and is now preparing to be adopted through the organization Service Dogs 4 Servicemen.

"This organization was started by Sarah Donna Day Blood and I am the vice president," said De La Rose. "She was inspired by her grandfather, who was a veteran himself, and he had a couple of service dogs."

The organization Service Dogs 4 Servicemen is in the process of accepting applications to place Hero in the home of a veteran.
