Boynton Beach -  Andrea Wesley is now undergoing treatment for breast cancer. "I was diagnosed in 2007 and had a reoccurrence in in 2011." She is receiving her treatments at the Bethesda Women's Health Center in Boynton Beach. "I have an 11 year old daughter and to me it was just a fight for her and through the whole thing it was just I have to do this for her, I have to live, I have to fight."

Andrea found out about the center through the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Angela Palahunik is the director of cancer care and women's health at the center. "Our partnership with the Komen Foundation allows us to provide certain breast care to medically needed women in the community. We have a couple of grants from the Komen Foundation, one for screening, diagnostic and even treatment services for patients and we also have a grant for breast health navigation."

The Komen Foundation wants to make sure women and men receive the treatment they need to battle cancer. Dayve Gabbard is director of affiliate communications with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. "We are here in the community to provide the care and that's why we need folks to turn their passion into action and participate in events like the Race For The Cure. That registration fee will get us to the start line, their participant fundraising is what gets us to the finish."
