West Palm Beach - A local organization is making a difference helping students diagnosed with Asperger's or High Functioning Autism.
"Aspie's Connect After-School Program" helps several middle and high school students develop their life and social skills. Not only do students learn about communicating with others, they also learn how to grocery shop, how to budget and meal planning through various "skits".
The fee for the "Aspie's Connect" program is based on the parent's income. Scholarships are available for students who qualify. The organization will also be helping elementary students in 2014. Additional donated space could help the organization with its expansion plans.
