WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Snowball is one of the mascots at El Cid Animal Clinic in West Palm Beach. The cat is recovering from recent surgery. There is someone else who is new at the animal clinic, Dr. Tiffany Brown. Dr. Brown says she went through schooling to become a veterinarian, but then decided to focus on animal dental care by becoming board certified in veterinary dentistry."My special interest is oral surgery. I see a lot of unfortunately oral cancer, tumors of the teeth, the gums and the tongue so I can do surgeries to treat or even cure those oral tumors. My special interest is endodontics, specifically I like to do root canals therapy to save teeth that are broken or infected."
Dr. Brown says her first patient in Palm Beach County was Romeo who had dental disease and couldn't eat. "And two weeks after the surgery he was running around like a puppy, acting like he never did before because he is so much happier and healthier, so I can definitely make a difference for pets." A woman who wants to make dental care affordable when caring for your family pet.
