Dozens of dancers from the Paris Ballet and Dance Studio in Jupiter are preparing for a big weekend.
"The response has been unbelievable. It's the third season and we have 150 students and we're already putting together the Nutcracker," said Jean Feray, the owner of the studio.
Feray dared to dream. Just a few years after opening a brand new studio, he's pulling out all the stops.
Feray's working with local professionals and the tiniest of performers to pull off the area's only full-length Nutcracker ballet.
"It's like teaching them to dance and act at the same time to tell the story," said Feray.
Feray is a former dancer for Ballet Florida, which dissolved a few years ago, in part, due to the down economy.
"It was really difficult to say goodbye to these people that I worked with for nine seasons, but at the same time, I think it pushed me to start this," he said.
Now, he's running one of the busiest businesses in Abacoa with young dancers and parents coming and going weekdays and weekends, especially in preparation for the big show.
You can catch their performance this weekend, Dec. 3 and 4 at the Palm Beach Gardens High School auditorium.
All tickets cost $20. For information on purchasing tickets call: 561-308-8377.
