WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Extra, extra read all about it. Newspaper reporters have the worst jobs in the United States.
That's according to CareerCast.com which just came out with its ranking of the 200 best and worst jobs in America.
According to CareerCast, the job of a newspaper report has lost its luster dramatically over the past five years is expected to plummet even further by 2020.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the median annual wage of reporters and correspondents was $34,530 in May 2010.
So, what's a better job?
If you have a head for numbers, become an actuary.
Actuaries analyze the financial costs of risk and uncertainty, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The pay isn't bad either.
The median wage in 2010 was $87,650 per year or $42.14 per hour.
